The RCS Concerto Orchestra perform multiple-award winning American composer, Michael Daugherty’s Trail of Tears for flute (Matilda Coulton) and orchestra, sandwiched between two Romantic piano concertos: Diego Rodriguez opens the evening with Beethoven’s first, before Alexandru-Stefan Placinta takes on Tchaikovsky’s behemoth first in B-flat minor.
