PLUG Festival of New Music

Thursday 2nd May 2024, 19:30

Stevenson Hall, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland

100 Renfrew St, Glasgow G2 3DB

Working with a huge number of ensembles, guest artists
and composers over the years, PLUG is a launchpad for
new experiments and exciting ideas bouncing around RCS.

During its 18 years, PLUG has seen more than 300 pieces
of new work receive their premieres right here at RCS.

We’re delighted to welcome back PLUG regular, percussionist Callum Huggan, who will be performing alongside our contemporary music ensemble, RCS MusicLab. Also returning to RCS for a Fridays at One concert are our friends, the award-winning Hebrides Ensemble, who will be performing Errollyn Wallen’s Music for Tigers alongside new student works.

This year, our composers have also been working with the BA Modern Ballet department to present a performance written, choreographed and performed by our students.
